Simultaneously authentic and illusory

White Lives Anti-matter

The Met has given British artist Cornelia Parker some spare cash to construct a PsychoBarn on its roof deck garden. Built from wreckage of rural America and formed from the British imaginings of gothic Americana this ghastly creation sits atop NYC’s treasure trove of beautiful art and is framed against the upper east side skyline of Manhattan. Terrified city dwellers must be shocked to see a potent fabrication of this archetypal symbol representing everything they left behind when they packed up and took the bus down I-80 East. Now they can gawk and chuckle at the authentic illusion of their own imagination.
